TL;DR

Your selected image files are processed locally in your browser for Krunkit's core tools. We do not upload those files to Krunkit servers for compression, conversion, resizing, or background removal. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage and Google AdSense advertising infrastructure to support the free service.

1. How Krunkit Works

Krunkit is a client-side image processing tool. When you compress, convert, resize, or remove a background from an image, the core operation happens inside your web browser using WebAssembly (WASM), Web Workers, browser APIs, and/or ONNX Runtime Web. Your selected image files are not uploaded to Krunkit servers for those operations.

Background removal may download an AI model file to your browser cache before processing supported images. Images above 10MP are rejected before that model download starts. The image file itself remains on your device for processing.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following non-personal information:

  • Usage analytics — Page views, tool-page visits, feature interactions, and general performance signals through Google Analytics 4. These help us understand which tools and guides need improvement.
  • Device information — Browser type, operating system, approximate geography, language, and screen size for compatibility improvements and aggregated reporting.
  • Error reports — Anonymized or aggregated error and performance signals to help us fix bugs. We do not intentionally log image file content.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

  • Your selected image files or image pixel content
  • Personal identification information such as name, email, or address unless you choose to contact us directly
  • Account credentials (there are no accounts)
  • Payment information (the service is free)
  • Location data beyond country-level from IP addresses

4. Cookies

Krunkit may use essential local browser storage for basic site functionality, analytics cookies or similar identifiers from Google Analytics 4, and advertising cookies or identifiers from Google AdSense if ad services are enabled in your region. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core image processing functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use Krunkit and Google AdSense to support the free service. These services may receive standard browser, device, cookie, advertising identifier, approximate location, and page-view information according to Google's own policies. Krunkit does not send your selected image files to Google Analytics, Google AdSense, or other third-party processors for image processing.

6. Ads.txt and Advertising Disclosure

Krunkit publishes an /ads.txt file at the domain root to identify authorized digital advertising sellers for this site. This helps advertising platforms verify that ad inventory is sold through the correct publisher account.

Ads, if shown, are separate from Krunkit's upload areas, processing controls, and download buttons. We do not design ads to look like tool controls or file actions.

7. Data Security

Since selected image files are processed locally for the core tools, the primary security boundary is your own browser. We serve Krunkit over HTTPS to protect the integrity of the application code. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best security.

8. Children's Privacy

Krunkit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't require accounts or collect personal data, children can use the service safely.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Krunkit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
