TL;DR

Your images never leave your device. Krunkit processes everything in your browser using WebAssembly. We don't collect, store, or transmit your files. We use minimal analytics to improve the service.

1. How Krunkit Works

Krunkit is a client-side image processing tool. When you compress, convert, or resize an image, the entire operation happens inside your web browser using WebAssembly (WASM) codecs. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.

Because processing is entirely local, we have no technical ability to access, view, or store your images. This is by design.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following non-personal information:

  • Usage analytics — Page views, feature usage counts, and general performance metrics. These are aggregated and anonymized.
  • Device information — Browser type, operating system, and screen size for compatibility improvements.
  • Error reports — Anonymized crash reports to help us fix bugs.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

  • Your images, files, or any file content
  • Personal identification information (name, email, address)
  • Account credentials (there are no accounts)
  • Payment information (the service is free)
  • Location data beyond country-level from IP addresses

4. Cookies

Krunkit may use essential cookies for basic site functionality and optional analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core image processing functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Plausible) to understand how visitors use Krunkit. These services collect anonymized usage data. No image data is ever shared with third parties.

6. Data Security

Since your files never leave your device, the primary security boundary is your own browser. We serve Krunkit over HTTPS to protect the integrity of the application code. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best security.

7. Children's Privacy

Krunkit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't require accounts or collect personal data, children can use the service safely.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Krunkit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
